Dalian Yifang, the Chinese professional football club from Dalian, has dominated the Chinese Super League (CSL) finals, securing their second consecutive championship in just three seasons.
The Dalian Yifang team, which was founded in 1994 and is known for its strong defensive skills and tactical prowess, defeated their rivals, Shanghai Shenhua, in the final match at the National Stadium in Beijing on Saturday night to claim their fourth title overall.
The victory marked a significant milestone for Dalian Yifang, who had previously won the CSL in 2016 and 2018. The team's success this season was largely due to their solid defense, which allowed them to keep their opponents scoreless in all but one game throughout the tournament.
In addition to their impressive performance on the pitch, Dalian Yifang also received praise for their team spirit and unity, as they were able to overcome several injuries and setbacks during the playoffs.
"We're very proud of our team," said head coach Zhang Jiaxin after the win. "They worked hard all season and I'm really happy that we were able to secure another championship."
With the win, Dalian Yifang became the first team in history to win four consecutive titles in the CSL. They will now look forward to next year's competition, hoping to continue their dominance and add yet another trophy to their collection.
